This is presented as an intriguing observation, not a mathematical proof.

When the Prophet's infant son Ibrahim died on the same day as a solar eclipse, his companions assumed the heavens were mourning. The Prophet ﷺ rejected this immediately, making a cosmologically accurate statement about eclipses while in personal grief, refusing to exploit a coincidence that would have elevated his own status.
